Itinerary
Full Day | Cañon De Colca
After the pick up we will travel in our tourist transport from Arequipa at 3:00am to the town of Chivay for about 3 hours where we will have our breakfast, then we will continue our journey to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. After the guided tour we will have free time to explore and take pictures, then we will return to Chivay. On the way back we will visit the villages of Pinchollo and Maca, as well as the viewpoints of Choquetico and Antahuilque, from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the Qolqa Valley. Later arriving to Chivay we will have our lunch Buffet and free time then we will continue our return on the way. We will stop in the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest zone of the road (4800 masl) from where we will appreciate great part of the western mountain range. And the Bofedales de Tocra we will be able to appreciate a variety of migratory and endemic birds, also bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañihuas (National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) we will observe South American camelids, home of vicuñas and huanacos that live freely in this area.
